Welcome to Performance and Scalability at Workday! Our growing team covers the entire Workday technology stack. If you enjoy computing in a complex cloud based system, collaborating with all development teams, support and customers this is the place for you. We are responsible for spanning the gap between development and the real world challenges of production, we conduct performance analysis to optimize the entire Workday stack. We also create and support a variety of performance and analytical software tools for our partners in development and operations around the company. Our engineers enjoy the challenge of production performance and how tenanted data impacts performance. Our labs are built for customer data, deep analysis and sophisticated performance tools. Working in our Performance Tools team, your day would involve working with Scala, Java, Spark, and other big data tools to deliver deep analytical meaning in production and pre-production system performance. As a Scalability Engineer, you would be involved in the company's largest most important customer implementations to ensure new high water marks in performance are exceeded before go-live. If the fast past dynamic nature of crawling around production servers is your game, we have a opening for you. We use sophisticated tools to identify and treat production performance issues with surgical precision keeping our data centers running smooth and our customers happy. We have immediate needs in the following areas: DevOps Engineers who love CI, the challenges of deployment automation in languages like bash and Python to the joys of managing 100s of test servers in our many labs. Performance Engineers are Brain surgeons with laser like precision that can identify and triage performance issues across a variety of open source and custom software built on Java and our proprietary in-memory object database technology. Curiosity is essential to go deep into issues found with our largest and most impactful use cases. Software Development Engineers to invent and maintain a growing set of performance regression and analysis tools. These tools marry open source software and our custom home grown solutions to alerting, dashboards, statistical analysis and visualizations. Big data technologies such as Java, Scala and SPARK are your friends. The ideal candidate would have: Minimum 1
year experience to the most senior architects in the industry You have operated scalable computing services in a production environment You are experienced in building applications using object oriented programming You have interest in analyzing logs and building big data analytical solutions You like to write, and have written, infrastructure automation code using Chef, Puppet, or Ansible You understand networks, protocols, servers, storage systems, operating systems You have good knowledge of at least one scripting language like Ruby, Python or Perl You understand and realize the value of agile methodologies and build automation.monitoring graphs, alerting, and centralized logging Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience You are a self-motivated, collaborative and dynamic team player Technologies we teach and use everyday: Java, Scala, Ruby, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Tomcat, Spark, Hadoop, Parquet, Kafka, Redis, Gradle, Git, SVN, ZooKeeper, ElasticSearch, MySQL, TeamCity, Jenkins, LoadRunner, Gatling, VisualVM, JProfiler, XpressO, CentoS/Linux, MySQL, Hive, system hardware and networking, UI Design Concepts and much more! The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
