Welcome to Data Science Applications & Machine Learning Platform at Workday! We are an entrepreneurial team in a large company that applies data science and machine learning to some biggest enterprise software problems - from scaling infrastructure, to predictive business insights, from computer vision, to natural language understanding. We build models on an industry leading enterprise data set and work with petabytes of data, using state-of-the-art AI techniques and big data technologies. We develop scalable platform on which we develop these data driven. We are hiring for numerous positions for both our Pleasanton, CA, headquarters and our San Francisco, CA, office. Decision Science - Decision Science works on problems and data sets across the Workday organization: anomaly detection, time series forecasting, clustering, classification, natural language processing, customer segmentation, just to name a few. Your work will inform critical product and operational decisions, and will also be built into the product to directly improve customer experience. In addition to projects, you will be able to learn from fellow top notch data scientists and engineers, follow and share cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning research, and publish academic papers and patents. Tech: Modeling - Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas), R, Scala, Java, MLlib, H2O; Visualization - D3.js, Highcharts, Tableau, Gephi; Big data tools - Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka/Flink, Zeppelin Computer Vision & Deep Learning - You will work on computer vision problems such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR), object detection and recognition, image classification, visual question answering (VQA), etc. Your work will touch the entire enterprise world: invoices, expense receipts, resumes, academic transcripts, learning videos, survey responses, just to name a few. You will design and build AI products that will impact millions of users, on both mobile and desktop.
