Motor Operated Valve Technician (MOV)
Location:
Pleasanton CA (live anywhere within 1.5 hours)
Compensation:
- 38-41 hr
- 10% OT on average
- 10% bonus paid twice a year
- Company Truck
Travel:
Hi travel during Spring and Fall
- Experience with process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, pH/ORP, etc), actuators (control valves, Motor Operated Valves), valves, and flow computers.
- Solid electrical, mechanical, and electronics knowledge including use of test equipment such as multi-meters, current generators, hand held calibrators, and other related devices. Knowledge of high voltage to include safety aspects of working with 3 phase 480 volt power.
- Knowledge and experience in calibrating process instrumentation.
- Physical abilities to include climbing ladders, climbing towers, working in confined spaces, working on elevated platforms, and lifting devices.
- Solid troubleshooting skills
- Strong Customer Communication skills including verbal and writing.
- Ability to work well under pressure:
sometimes meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines. - At all times demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Must be able to travel and work overtime as required
- Ability to read and interpret written work instructions, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Knowledge and understanding of personal computers and use of Microsoft such as Word and Excel.

- Planning and Organizational Skills.
- A technology associate degree is preferred plus seven (7) years of relevant field experience; plus supervising and coordinating numerous field service activities as related to the technical field or,
- Ten years of relevant field experience plus supervising and coordinating numerous field service activities as related to the technical field.
- Strong sales support, service and organizational skills
- Ability to work irregular schedules
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
