Our land survey team performs a key role in the success of our firm by providing vital support to our extensive Civil Land Development services.

Land Survey Technician Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience as a Land Survey Technician- Must have experience reading and processing survey data- Must have experience preparing survey exhibits such as plates, legal descriptions, and final maps.
- Strong knowledge in reading and understanding construction plans pertaining to construction staking- Must be proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D- Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) is a plus- High School diploma, or equivalent, requiredLand Survey Technician Role &
Responsibilities:
Our Survey Technician will perform various tasks associated with land surveying and construction staking, such as construction staking setup and calculations, crew scheduling, data organization and general office support for field crews.
The Survey Technician will also need to communicate with contractors and other clients as it relates to field survey requests and execution.
- Pre-calculating survey data pertaining to construction staking of civil improvements and other design information in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Receive and respond by email and phone to construction staking and other field survey requests by contractors and clients.
- Coordinate survey field crew schedule by balancing survey requests, survey personnel and availability on a daily basis with direction from the survey manager and staff.
- Upload/Download field data to/from the field crews and organize the data.
- Interpret field notes and sketches.
- Perform various computations including closure, precision, and calculations for surveys, plats, easements, etc.
- Use AutoCAD software to assist in production of detailed topographic surveys, ALTA/ACSM- Land Title Surveys, Record of Surveys, Parcel Maps, Final Maps, and other various survey related documents.
- Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for parcel and easement acquisition.
- Compile land title information from title reports and records research.
