As the Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in technical leadership and expertise at Mineral.
You will be responsible for identifying scaling issues, pinpointing areas of architectural improvement, and ensuring our SaaS product can scale seamlessly with our company's growth.
This position is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about optimizing software performance, enhancing user experience, and contributing to our company's success.
You will:
Scaling Issue Identification:
Collaborate with development teams to identify scaling issues within our architecture and propose solutions to address these challenges proactively.
Capacity Planning:
Perform capacity planning to anticipate future resource needs and recommend infrastructure and architecture upgrades as required.
Collaborative Teamwork:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers, to implement performance improvements and ensure a scalable SaaS solution.
Conduct Load and Stress Testing:
Develop and execute performance test plans, assess system behavior under heavy loads, and identify bottlenecks and performance limitations.
Support Performance Testing Environment:
Design, set up, and maintain a performance testing environment that simulates real-world usage scenarios, allowing for load and stress testing of our SaaS product.
Database Optimization:
Work closely with database administrators and developers to optimize database queries, ensuring efficient data retrieval and minimal impact on system performance.
Performance Monitoring:
Implement and maintain performance monitoring tools to proactively detect performance anomalies, bottlenecks, or degradation in our SaaS product.
Perform other duties as assigned.
You have:

years of experience in software engineering, architecture, performance optimizations.
Experience with hands-on development and software architecture.
Ability to switch programming languages and frameworks with ease.
Proficiency in identifying and addressing scaling issues in complex software architectures.
Previous experience in a SaaS environment preferably in AWS.
Solid understanding of database systems and optimizing SQL queries.
Proven experience in building and maintaining performance testing environments.
Strong expertise in performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience with performance testing tools:
K6, Blazemeter, Jmeter, Gatling etc.
Monitoring and Profiling Tools:
New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
