This role is part of Workday's Experience Marketing Team within the Marketing organization and works across a high-performance team of professionals.
This workgroup is responsible for a portfolio of external, high-profile event programs attended by Workday customers, prospective customers, developers, sponsoring partners, analysts, and employees.
The purpose of these events is to increase brand awareness, develop and advance the company's sales pipeline, and educate and empower attendees.
About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and lead a team who supports the delivery of our flagship experience marketing programs.
The key responsibilities include:
Own and lead complex, cross-functional brand experiences that requires a keen ability to lead multiple global workstreams towards a common vision and goal.
Collaborate with the Director of Event Strategy to align on the strategy and desired outcomes so the event is designed to drive to those specific results.
Inspire a team and collaborate with internal and external partners to create relevant experiences throughout the lifecycle of an event.
Run a complex P&L business and budgets that hits our key goals while delivering on budget.
Treat Workday Rising as a business platform for the company and build the right environment and approach to set vision and ask for input when appropriate.
Develop an end-to-end approach to deliver a premier and evolving hybrid experience that brings Workday's brand to life and differentiates us in the marketplace.
Demonstrate an ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent and good judgment.
Establish repeatable processes, templates and smart practices.
Effectively communicate and present plans and performance across the organization including key team members and executives.
Operate with an attitude of ownership, speed and collaboration.
Build an inclusive, dynamic working environment that motivates the team and crafts a path for growth.
Guide the selection and expansion of global vendor partnerships to include best in breed services that will improve the attendee experience and advance programs.
Keep up on industry trends and engage appropriate counterparts outside of Workday to gain best-practice knowledge.
Drive policies and standards around sustainability and accessibility across all programs.
About You Basic
Qualifications:
12
years of demonstrated success in marketing events within a publicly held B2B technology organization.
Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed large, very complex, multidimensional conferences on a global scale.
Experience in a people-management position within a fast-paced setting with competing and constantly evolving tasks.
Strong analytical skills, and consistent track record in making data-driven decisions to continually optimize performance and determine future investments.
Highly proficient global budget development and management skills.
Experience working with programs that support sales and drive pipeline.
Strong proficiency in gaining alignment and communicating with key collaborators.
Proficient using Google Suite, MS Office Applications, Slack and other enterprise applications.
Experience with event platforms (RainFocus, Kaltura, ON24, SpotMe, Cvent, Aventri, Braindate, Jifflenow) Travel required as related to assigned events.

Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
